Growing up I always heard and watched about how you need someone else to feel comforted, validated, and loved. Knowingly unknowingly I too started to believe that I needed my ‘supposed’ better half to complete me. My subconscious started to imagine and fantasize about the need to have a soulmate/ best friend to feel fulfilled. I was more delusional day by day to an extent that I would collapse after rejections and heartbreaks. For days, I would feel as if my whole life was alone in the little bubble I had created with my past lovers or friends. 🌻

If there was no purpose in one’s life, how would that life be? It would be a life unlivable; a life devoid of values, riddled with physical, mental as well as emotional torpor. If you have nothing to work towards, nothing to attain, nothing to achieve, no ambition, no purpose, no direction then it would not be life at all, it would be a lifeless desert, to say the least. You will be nothing more than a dry carcass, completely meaningless and unimportant, without any use to not only others but even to your own self. 🌻

As we step into our adolescence, we slowly get familiarised with our changing bodies and minds. With this change, it is now deemed necessary for us to be introduced to different aspects and ideas surrounding the circle of life. Out of which many ideas which are inherently rooted in misogynistic beliefs get instilled in us.

Just trying to understand life one step at a time and sharing what I think, believe, feel, and see. So, decipher life through my eyes the 5 minutes you read what I write. 🌻

I recently saw one of my favorite influencers post about the end of her long- standing relationship. Come to think about it, I have been so invested in her life that this break up has had a shockingly profound impact on me. I mean, they were perfect, living their perfect lives, inextricably intertwined. I watched their beautiful pictures and videos, read their romantic captions word to word, all the while fantasizing the relationship that appeared to me so wholesome and healthy. In contrary to my experiences with ‘Love’, theirs seemed ‘absolute’, something to strive for, you know, the quintessential love, the ultimate relationship goals. 🌻

I was reading Harry Potter and the deathly hallows when I came across a powerful line in Chapter 36, The Flaw in the Plan. The death eaters led by Lord Voldemort had brought back Harry Potter’s apparently dead body from the Forbidden Forest causing shock and despair among the defenders of Hogwarts.

Lo-fi music can apply across a wide range of genres; you can find the perfect tune for your every mood, as well as since we all are locked away in our homes due to the pandemic, lo-fi beats create a vibe perfect for your reverie. Early Monday mornings , 3:30 a.m., Snowy Christmas days, the choices of lo-fi music to choose from are infinite for a perfect escape from the humdrums of life. 🌻
